Red-fleshed dragon fruit growers in Bach Dang commune (Kinh Mon) are entering the first harvest of the year. Consumption is favorable, with the early season price ranging from 15,000 VND to 18,000 VND/kg, 3,000 VND/kg lower than last year.
Red-fleshed dragon fruit trees in Bach Dang are harvested from May to the end of October of the lunar calendar every year. On average, 1 hectare of dragon fruit trees has an economic value of over 500 million VND.
Dragon fruit produced by Bach Dang Clean Agricultural Products Production and Trading Cooperative has a traceability stamp and is available in chain stores, supermarkets, and agricultural wholesale markets in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and on e-commerce platforms.
Bach Dang Clean Agricultural Products Production and Trading Cooperative currently has 60 hectares of red-fleshed dragon fruit produced organically, of which 11.5 hectares are produced according to GlobalGAP standards.
