Thanh Ha district has only 9 landfills in operation in 5 communes: Thanh Son, Thanh Quang, Thanh Hong, Thanh Cuong, Vinh Lap.
According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Thanh Ha district, there are 30 landfills in the district, of which 20 landfills have been funded by the Provincial People's Committee and 10 landfills have been invested by the Commune People's Committee. Of these, 21 landfills have stopped operating, with only 9 landfills still operating in 5 communes: Thanh Son, Thanh Quang, Thanh Hong, Thanh Cuong, Vinh Lap. Among them, there are landfills that are overloaded but the locality has not yet arranged a new replacement site.
Thanh Ha district currently has 15 communes and towns where garbage is collected and transported to the factory for treatment. There are 22 garbage collection points in the district, most of which are partially renovated old landfills.
