At the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in November (5th time) on the morning of November 16, delegates discussed and gave opinions on the content of the Department of Health's submission on increasing the hospital bed plan target in 2024 for medical examination and treatment facilities under the Department of Health.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung concluded and agreed with the content of the Department of Health's proposal to increase the number of hospital beds by 80 in the 2024 plan for 4 medical examination and treatment facilities under the Department of Health. The increase in the number of hospital beds for medical examination and treatment facilities under the Department of Health is legitimate and ensures the rights of patients. The Department of Health is assigned to coordinate with the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to urgently complete the content of the proposal for the Provincial People's Committee to submit to competent authorities according to regulations.
According to the report of the Department of Health, by 2023, Hai Duong province will reach 32 hospital beds/10,000 people (excluding commune-level health stations), of which the number of hospital beds at public health facilities will reach 31.7 beds/10,000 people. According to the Resolution of the 17th Hai Duong Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term and Resolution No. 09/2020/NQ-HDND dated December 24, 2020 of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council on the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025, the goal by 2025, the provincial health sector strives to reach 36 hospital beds/10,000 people. The proposal to increase the hospital bed plan target in 2024 is consistent with the province's socio-economic development orientation and reality.
After coordinating and reviewing, based on the needs, bed capacity of medical facilities, facilities, human resources, and financial plans, the Department of Health proposed to increase 80 hospital bed plan targets for 2024 for 4 medical examination and treatment facilities. Specifically, increase 25 hospital beds for Ninh Giang District Medical Center, Tu Ky and Thanh Mien District Medical Centers, each unit increases 20 hospital beds; 15 hospital beds for Nam Sach District Medical Center.
