Bustling construction site of Dong Viet bridge and approach road

During the holidays, the construction site of the Dong Viet bridge approach road connecting to Highway 37 through Chi Linh City (Hai Duong) is still bustling with the sound of machinery and workers working hard.

The project to build Dong Viet Bridge and the Bac Giang approach road starts at Canh Thuy commune (Yen Dung district), and ends at the planned road in Hung Dao commune (Chi Linh). To create a synchronous connection, Hai Duong has invested in building the Dong Viet bridge approach road connecting with National Highway 37 (Chi Linh), with a total cost of more than 469.8 billion VND. The route is nearly 5.3 km long, starting at km8+590 in Hung Dao commune, and ending at the intersection with National Highway 37 in Cong Hoa ward (in the same city of Chi Linh). The approach road is designed as a level II plain road, with a roadbed width of 22.5 m and a speed of 80 km/h.

According to Mr. Tran Ngoc Tu, Executive Director of Dong Viet Bridge Project in Bac Giang, Dong Viet Bridge has completed about 30% of the work. The approach road on Bac Giang province's side has completed more than 20%. Bac Giang strives to complete Dong Viet Bridge project in September 2024, 3 months earlier than planned. To ensure construction progress and synchronous completion, promoting project efficiency, Hai Duong Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board has directed contractors to speed up the progress of the approach road. Contractors are focusing on soft soil construction and roadbed excavation.

The project to invest in building the Dong Viet bridge approach road connecting with National Highway 37, Chi Linh City section, is implemented by a consortium of Joint Stock Companies: Con Son Construction Materials, Viet Hoa Construction and Trade, Thu Do Construction and Equipment, Vu Bach Construction and Trade Company Limited as the contractor.
