The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just decided to fine the Yen Dung District Construction Investment Project Management Board VND350 million for administrative violations in the field of environmental protection.
According to the decision, the project "Resettlement land for the construction project of Dong Viet bridge and the road leading to the bridge" invested by the Yen Dung district Investment and Construction Project Management Board committed an administrative violation when it did not have a decision approving the results of the environmental impact assessment report.
According to the report of the Yen Dung District Construction Investment Project Management Board and the extract of the land cadastral map, the land area used to implement the project is 1.71 hectares, of which the land area requiring conversion of land use purpose for rice cultivation from 2 crops or more is 1.71 hectares.
The Yen Dung District Construction Investment Project Management Board implemented the project (organizing site leveling, constructing part of the road leveling items, drainage system, and installing lighting poles on an area of about 1.3 hectares) without a decision approving the results of the environmental impact assessment report appraisal as prescribed.
The People's Committee of Bac Giang province fined the Yen Dung District Construction Investment Management Board VND350 million. At the same time, it suspended the implementation of construction activities of the project "Resettlement land for the construction of Dong Viet bridge and access road to the bridge" for a period of 9 months to correct violations according to regulations.
