Currently, the Dong Viet bridge and approach road project has completed the construction of the bridge and approach road on the Hai Duong side. The Bac Giang approach road is being accelerated.
According to the Hai Duong Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, the Dong Viet Bridge Approach Road Construction Investment Project connecting National Highway 37 (Chi Linh) with a length of nearly 5.3 km has been completed.
The construction unit of Dong Viet bridge approach road in Bac Giang is urgently completing the remaining items such as spreading crushed stone, asphalt pavement, reinforcing dikes and river banks, installing traffic safety systems and civil culverts.
The road leading to the bridge on the Bac Giang side is nearly 7 km long, with a level II delta road scale, a 22 m wide roadbed and a 21.5 m road surface.
By the second half of February, the road construction had reached more than 60% of its volume. The contractor had completed the entire roadbed excavation and embankment, and laid more than 4 km of crushed stone, of which more than 3 km was asphalt concrete.
The Dong Viet bridge approach road on Hai Duong side with a length of more than 5 km has been completed.
It is expected that the road leading to Dong Viet Bridge in Bac Giang will be completed before April 30 this year to connect with Hai Duong province.
The Dong Viet Bridge and the approach road were started in June 2022 with a total length of more than 811 m and a bridge surface width of 23.5 m. This is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in Bac Giang province, crossing the Thuong River, connecting Bac Giang and Hai Duong provinces. The project is invested by the Bac Giang Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transport and Agricultural Works.
