The trend of growing lily of the valley for one's own wedding is popular among young Vietnamese people.

Lily of the valley has a special beauty with small, pure white petals, elegant, gentle fragrance, often used as wedding flowers with the meaning of lasting happiness, sincere love. In Vietnam, the movement of growing lily of the valley and waiting for the harvest to be the day of the wedding is increasingly popular among young people.

One of the reasons young people like to grow lily of the valley themselves is because if they buy it for their wedding, the amount of money they have to spend will be quite large. The price of this flower on the market is not cheap. According to the ranking of Knowinsiders, lily of the valley is ranked 9th in the list of 10 most expensive flowers in the world, each bunch costs up to 50 USD (about 1.2 million VND). This flower has a low yield and is difficult to harvest.

In Vietnam, the average price of a small imported lily of the valley wedding bouquet ranges around 10 million VND. Larger bouquets or those with more complex designs can be sold for around 30 million VND.

Mai Chi (25 years old, Hanoi) said she bought 15 lily of the valley sprouts for 220,000 VND on an e-commerce platform and took care of them herself at home. According to the seller, these sprouts need to be planted in small pots with a diameter of 20cm, after 2 months the plant will bud and the following month it will bloom. Lily of the valley is difficult to grow and dies easily, the seller estimated that these 15 sprouts will only produce about 5 flower branches.

Mai Chi estimates that by this Tet holiday, she will have lily of the valley flowers to give to her boyfriend: "This is the first time I've tried growing lily of the valley flowers, to be honest it's very difficult. I always have to pay attention to see if the plants are exposed to strong sunlight, or if the temperature is too high, just a little carelessness can kill the buds. However, this experience is very interesting, hopefully by Tet I will have special flowers to give to my lover."

Many other young people are also very excited to join this trend and hope that when the flowers bloom, they will be able to get married. The social network Threads has many photos and posts about growing lily of the valley, attracting many comments: "White lily of the valley is not only a symbol of pure, innocent love, but also carries the meaning of a sweet apology; people who are temporarily apart will one day come back together."

"I don't remember exactly when and why I started liking lily of the valley. This flower is very expensive, I couldn't afford it. Someone gave me a bunch before, I liked it so much that I decided to buy it and plant it, waiting for the wedding day for it to bloom", "White lily of the valley symbolizes the return of happiness. Couples who are in love but angry often give lily of the valley flowers to forget the things that make them sad and cry and come back to each other"...

Young people also regularly share their achievements and experiences in growing lily of the valley on social networks: "Look at my results, guys. Seeing it bud makes me cry", "If I had the intelligence to intercrop with a few more tulip bulbs, I would have lily of the valley flowers in my hand when I get married, making a super beautiful bouquet", "Lily of the valley flowers have been planted for 4 months but they haven't grown, now they suddenly bloom mini flowers, keep trying, guys"...

The results of growing lily of the valley have been shared, giving many other young people more motivation and confidence to enthusiastically join the trend of growing lily of the valley themselves in anticipation of their wedding day. Lily of the valley buds are therefore a hot-selling item on e-commerce platforms.
