Penalties for craft villages causing environmental pollution

Specifically, the penalties are as follows:

- Fine from 1.5 to 2 million VND for not having on-site wastewater and exhaust gas treatment facilities and equipment.

- Fines from 1-2 million VND for illegal dumping of wastewater on sidewalks and streets; or dumping plastic waste generated from daily activities into ponds, lakes, canals, rivers, etc.

- Fine from 2 - 4 million VND if transporting raw materials and materials without covering/letting them fall into the environment while participating in traffic.

- Depending on the violation causing noise exceeding the standard by a maximum of 40 dBA or more, a warning or fine of 1 - 160 million VND will be imposed.

- Fine from 40-50 million VND for acts of leaking or discharging toxic chemicals into the soil and water environment in violation of environmental protection regulations.

- A fine of 50-80 million VND shall be imposed in cases where the content of pollutants in soil, water or air exceeds the technical standards by less than 3 times for hazardous environmental parameters or less than 5 times for normal environmental parameters.

- A fine of 25-30 million VND shall be imposed for the act of not pre-treating wastewater arising according to the conditions in the agreement with the investor in the construction and business of the infrastructure of the concentrated production, business and service area, industrial cluster and the environmental license of the concentrated production, business and service area, industrial cluster before connecting to the collection system for further treatment at the centralized wastewater treatment system according to regulations;

- A fine of 30-40 million VND for the act of not connecting wastewater to the centralized wastewater collection, drainage and treatment system according to the regulations of the investor in the construction and business of infrastructure of concentrated production, business and service areas, industrial clusters and the environmental license of the concentrated production, business and service areas, industrial clusters...

- A fine of 80-100 million VND shall be imposed in cases where the content of pollutants in soil, water or air exceeds the technical standards from 3 to less than 5 times for hazardous environmental parameters or from 5 to less than 10 times for normal environmental parameters.

- Fine from 150-200 million VND for illegal discharge of wastewater into the rainwater drainage system of concentrated production, business and service areas, industrial clusters and craft villages.
