Burning straw pollutes the environment

Although it has decreased a lot, there is still a situation where farmers in Hai Duong burn straw right in the fields, causing environmental pollution.

Along the road leading to Han Bridge through Nam Sach District and An Thuong Commune (Hai Duong City), we saw many black streaks on some harvested fields due to people burning straw. In some fields, people gathered straw and dry grass into piles and burned them.

Burning straw after harvest has a major impact on the environment and human health. The smoke restricts visibility and poses a potential risk of traffic accidents.

Burning straw and dry grass also negatively affects soil quality, destroys many beneficial microorganisms, and disrupts the ecological balance of rice fields...
