This area is home to a number of businesses, so the violators are mostly workers. They drive in the wrong direction to shorten the distance between residential areas, instead of having to drive in the right direction to get to the overpass, cross the street, and then circle back quite a distance. During rush hour, workers line up one after another to drive in the wrong direction, terrifying anyone who passes by.

Many motorbikes traveling in the right direction have had to move into the car lane to avoid oncoming traffic. Many people do not wear helmets when riding motorbikes. This behavior is not only against the law but also dangerous for themselves and other vehicles.

In particular, this area has had a number of serious traffic accidents.

According to Decree 168/2024/ND-CP of the Government effective from January 1, 2025, people driving in the wrong direction on a one-way street will be fined up to 6 million VND (old regulations fined from 1-2 million VND).
