In Nghe An, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police and Yen Thanh District Police co-chaired and coordinated with the Provincial Police's professional departments and the Ministry of Public Security's Professional Department to successfully break up a case, eradicate a large-scale inter-provincial high-tech lottery gambling ring, and arrest 10 subjects residing in Nghe An, Binh Duong provinces and Hanoi city.
The above line is led by Hoang The Vinh, born in 1976, residing in Phu Dien ward, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi city.
To operate the network, Hoang The Vinh colluded with many subjects in many provinces and cities across the country to gamble in the form of recording lottery numbers.
During the operation, the subjects used many sophisticated tricks to deceive the police... In Nghe An, there were 4 subjects directly involved in the above gambling ring, of which Nguyen Canh Minh, born in 1988, residing in Xuan Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, was identified by the police as the general "agent" operator.
After a period of monitoring, on March 26, the Investigation Committee divided into 10 working groups to arrest 10 subjects in the above gambling ring residing in Nghe An province, Binh Duong province and Hanoi city.
The police seized 21 mobile phones, 2 cars and many related documents. Initially, the investigation agency determined that the amount of money the subjects gambled in the form of lottery numbers in one day was nearly 1 billion VND.
The case is being further investigated and expanded.
