A girl suffered a brain hemorrhage after cosmetic surgery.

On the morning of January 11, Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) announced that patient H. (26 years old) had been asked by her family to be taken home due to her serious condition. She was a patient who fell into a coma after undergoing cosmetic surgery at Van Hanh General Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City).

According to specialist 2 Le Nguyen Nhut Tin, Deputy Head of the Department of Neurology, Cho Ray Hospital, this woman was transferred to the emergency room in a state of needing a respirator and respiratory support.

Doctors conducted a consultation and determined that the patient had a severe brain hemorrhage. At the Department of Neurology, Ms. H. continued to be on a ventilator and was given vasopressors and drugs to limit the spread of the lesion. However, after 24 hours of hospitalization, the patient's condition showed no signs of improvement, and the prognosis was very poor.

By the evening of January 10, the family asked to take Ms. H. home because her condition was too serious.

Regarding the incident, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health Inspectorate worked with Van Hanh General Hospital and sealed the medical records. The hospital also held a meeting of the professional council.

Previously, on January 9, Ms. H. went to Van Hanh General Hospital for cosmetic surgery. The woman had breast implants placed on both sides, then had her jaw angle trimmed, her cheekbones lowered, and her wisdom teeth extracted. After the surgery, the patient suddenly suffered a brain hemorrhage.

When transferred to Cho Ray Hospital, the patient was in deep anesthesia, diagnosed with subdural hematoma, cerebral hemorrhage, diffuse cerebral edema on the basis of bilateral breast implants, bilateral mandibular angle resection, and zygomatic arch reduction.
