Priyanka Chopra, Miss World 2000, was devastated after a nose job went awry, and was fired from three projects by her director.
"It was a dark period of my life," Priyanka Chopra recalled of her botched nose job in the early 2000s, after winning Miss World. She admitted on The Howard Stern Show that she fell into "severe depression."
Chopra said that she never wanted to have a nose job. However, she had to undergo surgery due to a benign tumor. The surgery seemed simple but it seriously affected her appearance, completely changing Chopra.

In addition to the negative impact on her face, cosmetic surgery also caused difficulties for Nick Jonas' wife when the director fired her from 3 projects. Gossip about her skin color and body parts made the beauty queen depressed.
The Indian star shared that there were times when she didn't want to leave home, but her father, a doctor, advised her to get another procedure. "I was scared, but he said he would be there for me. He helped me overcome my trauma and regain my confidence," Chopra recalled.

Bollywood director Anil Sharma also helped revive Chopra's career by casting her in a film. Chopra feels grateful that when everyone turned their backs on her, Anil Sharma stood by her.
This isn't the first time Chopra has been candid about plastic surgery. In her 2021 memoir Unfinished, she said a director suggested she get breast implants, chin implants, and butt implants if she wanted to become a Hollywood star.
Chopra said the director also recommended a reputable cosmetic surgery clinic in Los Angeles. The actress's manager immediately agreed to the offer. "I was shocked and felt he was so petty. So I decided to stop working with this manager," Chopra recalled.
