Worried that her daughter-in-law would have difficulty moving after giving birth by cesarean section, a woman in China hired a crane to carry her daughter-in-law to the 7th floor when she returned home.
Jimu News reported that the daughter-in-law was discharged from the hospital in late March after a cesarean section and returned home to Shenyang, Liaoning Province, northeastern China.
Because there was no elevator in the house, Mrs. Wang was worried that her daughter-in-law would have difficulty climbing stairs immediately after surgery. Therefore, Mrs. Wang planned to hire a crane to take her home when her daughter-in-law was discharged from the hospital.
In a viral video shared by Ms. Wang on Douyin, crane workers are seen escorting the young woman onto the platform and a forklift carrying them to the girl's balcony.
Mr. Liu, the owner of the crane, said that he has been in the business for 15 years but this is the first time he has received such a request. Mr. Liu said: "The building does not have an elevator, our crane can lift nearly 30 meters high, withstand a load of several hundred kilograms, there is no safety problem."
After the video was posted on social media, many netizens discussed it enthusiastically. Some congratulated Mrs. Wang’s family on the new member, while others praised her mother-in-law for being considerate to her daughter-in-law. Many young girls wish they had a mother-in-law who was considerate and loving to her daughter-in-law.
Earlier in 2023, a husband in northeastern China gave his wife 100 yuan for every step she took during her painful recovery from a cesarean section.
In 2022, male members of a family in southeastern China carried a newborn mother in a large basket up to her apartment for fear that she would be hurt if she walked.
