Ms. Hoa is currently receiving medical treatment in Singapore with her child.

Baby Bap's mother (real name is Le Thi Thu Hoa, born in 1997, from Ninh Thuan) has 2 sons. Baby Bap (4 years old) is being treated for leukemia in Singapore, while her brother (5 years old) is in his hometown Ninh Thuan with his grandparents.

In recent days, Bap's mother has faced great pressure regarding the amount of money that benefactors have donated to Bap. Although she answered questions during a livestream on the evening of February 25, public opinion has not yet fully accepted it.

On the morning of February 27, Ms. Hoa said that the lives of her relatives in her hometown are also facing many difficulties.

These past few days, her parents have been living in tension and fear. Many strangers have come to her house in the countryside, making her parents worried.

“My parents don’t dare go anywhere now because whenever they go out, they are gossiped about and watched. One day, my parents went to the market to buy food but couldn’t because no one sold it to them.

“The two adults and one child at home eat whatever is available. My parents work on the farm so there are vegetables available in the garden. In addition, the family has some eggs and dried fish,” said Ms. Hoa.

She said her eldest son had to temporarily stop going to school because of gossip and gossip. In the past, he had only been taking extra classes in the village.

Since taking Bap to Singapore for treatment, she has received 4-5 phone calls every day from her parents and eldest son. After confiding in them about what happened at home, they were worried that she would worry, but they were optimistic. She herself tried to be strong to reassure them.

“My dad always says, ‘I’m fine. If people ask me, I don’t know, so I say I don’t know. Are you okay, son? Try your best.’ I also have to pretend that I’m fine to reassure my parents, otherwise if they worry and are under too much pressure, I might not be able to handle it.

My eldest child is also very understanding. Every time he calls me, he asks about Bap. He even brags, 'I have a big piggy bank, I will break it down for you to treat my brother's illness later!', and the piggy bank has somewhere around 1,000 or 2,000 VND bills," Ms. Hoa shared.

Regarding the rumor that Pham Thoai transferred 2 billion VND in charity money to pay off debt for Bap's grandparents, Ms. Hoa denied it.

She affirmed that her parents in the countryside work on the farm and cannot afford to borrow up to 2 billion VND. Therefore, the story that Pham Thoai transferred money to pay off the debt is not true. "If they could borrow 2 billion, my parents would have borrowed it to treat Bap's illness," she said.

Currently, Ms. Hoa's parents and eldest son are living in her hometown Ninh Thuan.

Ms. Hoa said that baby Bap is about to enter the most important stage of treatment. The cost for this period is from 400,000-450,000 SGD (about 7.6 - 8.5 billion VND). She plans to put the remaining money from benefactors into baby Bap, along with the money from the grandparents selling land to take care of her child.

“In the past time, my uncle and aunt have loved and helped Bap a lot, so my mother doesn’t dare bother everyone anymore. Bap’s grandparents are also trying to sell land to have money for his medical treatment,” Ms. Hoa shared.

On February 26, on her personal page, Ms. Hoa posted a number of statements along with a promise that when she returned to Vietnam, she would fully make statements of her two personal bank accounts and clarify any issues.

“Mother Bap asks uncle and aunt to let her focus on taking care of Bap during this time. After things stabilize, mother Bap will make a clear and transparent statement of everything and update uncle and aunt about the money they have given Bap and the expenses for treatment.

"Mother Bap really hopes that you will not be angry and give me a statement after I have completed the bone marrow transplant. Mother Bap absolutely affirms that she will give a complete and clear statement and will take full responsibility to you if I do anything wrong," she wrote.

Therefore, during this time, she hopes that her relatives in the countryside will not be "attacked" by negative opinions.
