On the afternoon of May 15, the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province worked with the Provincial People's Court to review and discuss the draft Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended) submitted to the National Assembly for approval at the 7th Session, 15th tenure.
At the meeting, the representative of the Provincial People's Court informed that the draft Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended) prepared for submission to the National Assembly has been supplemented, edited, evaluated and thoroughly examined. Many contents in this draft law are important for judicial reform, in line with the direction and leadership of the Party and State, meeting practical needs. Along with that, moving towards professionalism and modernization of the court sector's activities in the future.
The revised contents of the law will overcome some limitations, promote the effectiveness and strength of the court and judges compared to the previous law, such as awareness of the position, role, function, authority and tasks of the court; division of judge ranks; functions and tasks of the judge selection and supervision council; organization and independent operation according to the jurisdiction of the trial; enhanced responsibility, discipline and discipline regime; complete legal mechanism to build and deploy electronic courts; protection mechanism for judges...
At the working session, National Assembly delegates raised many opinions requesting the Provincial People's Court to discuss and clarify more contents in the draft Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended).
Speaking at the end of the working session, Comrade Nguyen Thi Viet Nga, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, highly appreciated the opinions, exchanges and contributions of the Provincial People's Court as well as the National Assembly deputies, helping the delegation understand more clearly and thoroughly many contents to serve the upcoming National Assembly session to pass the Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended).
