The last unique Continental GTC super luxury convertible with V8 engine is expected to arrive in Vietnam next June, imported from England.
Bentley's distributor in Vietnam said it is about to bring in a special edition Continental GTC S V8 personalized by the Mulliner division. The company calls this version the Vietnam Skyline Edition.
The Bentley Continental GTC S and three other special Flying Spur models arrived in Vietnam at the same time. All are equipped with a 4.0 V8 engine and are the last versions equipped with this engine. The British car company discontinued the 4.0 V8 engine on low-chassis vehicles since June and currently only the super luxury SUV Bentayga is equipped with it.
The Continental GTC S is a sporty 2-door convertible coupe. The car has an all-black exterior. The 21-inch 5-spoke wheels are also painted black, with red brake calipers inside. Bentley's design features such as the layered crystal headlights and the elliptical eye-like taillights are still retained.
The most special part of the car is the image of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the Opera House (Hanoi), the Dragon Bridge (Da Nang), the Bitexco, Landmark 81 and Vietcombank buildings (Ho Chi Minh City) hand-embroidered on the headrests. These symbols are also on the dashboard near the air vents for the passenger seats.
These personalized details were made by the British company specifically for the Vietnamese market, called the Vietnam Skyline Edition. Only one Bentley Continental GTC S of this version was produced.
The interior of the Continental GTC S special edition features a three-dimensional rotating center screen, 20-way power-adjustable front seats, Naim premium audio, and ambient lighting that can be customized to suit the user's mood.
Bentley Continental GTC S is equipped with a 4.0 V8 twin-turbo engine, 542 horsepower at 6,000 rpm, 770 Nm torque at 2,000-4,500 rpm. 8-speed automatic transmission. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, with a maximum speed of 198 km/h.
The Bentley distributor has not yet revealed the price of the special edition Continental GTC S. The regular version of this car costs around 19.5 billion VND. The main competitor of the Continental is the Roll-Royce Wraith, but this model has been discontinued.
