After getting the beauty injection, the girl was shocked to discover that the spa solution used was a facial cleanser, not a skin-tightening substance.
On May 12, doctors at the Poison Control Center, Bach Mai Hospital, announced that they had just received a case of a female patient (24 years old, from Thai Binh) who was mistakenly injected with facial cleanser into her skin while getting a beauty treatment at a spa.
On the evening of May 7, this girl poured facial cleanser into a plastic bag and brought the skin-tightening substance and injection tools to a spa near her house to get an injection for beauty purposes. During the injection, this person felt a sharp pain, the skin-tightening substance did not dissolve like usual, but felt her face was hard and asked to stop the injection.
It was then that she discovered that the skin-tightening agent she had brought with her was still in her bag, and the solution used to inject under her face was a facial cleanser. The girl panicked and rushed to the local hospital for a check-up, then went to Bach Mai Hospital for further examination and treatment.
At Bach Mai Hospital, the girl showed signs of pain in many areas of her face, her right cheekbone was swollen, there was a hard mass under the skin, there was a dark spot under her right eyelid, her forehead had many swollen spots at the injection needle, and uneven bruising.
Dr. Nguyen Trung Nguyen, Director of the Anti-Poison Center, Bach Mai Hospital, said that the female patient's condition has improved and the swelling has reduced after treatment at the center.
The doctor also said that the female patient was injected at a spa in Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province. This is a regular beauty facility, not a clinic. Therefore, the spa owner injecting the patient is a violation of the law. This action is very dangerous, directly affecting the health of the customer.
Experts recommend that when doing beauty treatments, you should choose a reputable facility. Especially for beauty services that cause bleeding (injections, surgery, etc.), they should be performed directly by a doctor at a clinic or hospital. You should not trust or entrust your health to unprofessional people or unlicensed facilities.
