After discovering a house fire and people trapped inside, people nearby quickly climbed onto adjacent roofs to put out the fire and rescue people.
According to the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Hoang Mai District Police, at around 7:15 p.m. on January 19, a 3-story house with an attic located deep in alley 99/158/26, Dinh Cong Ha Street, Dinh Cong Ward, Hoang Mai District, Hanoi suddenly caught fire from the 3rd floor of the house.
According to witnesses at the scene, when they discovered a large fire with thick smoke, people shouted to put out the fire, during which they discovered that there were still 2 people trapped inside the house.
Before the authorities arrived at the scene, people quickly climbed onto the roof with water and fire extinguishers to partially control the raging fire.
After the authorities arrived at the scene, due to the narrow terrain, firefighters had to mobilize specialized equipment and draw water from a distance into the burning house to put out the fire.
The two trapped victims were later successfully rescued. The property damage as well as the cause of the incident are still being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
