With the theme "Solidarity, exemplary, disciplined, flexible, creative, determined to win", the 2023 Determined to Win emulation movement was led and directed by the Party Committee and the Military Command of Chi Linh City in conjunction with the campaigns: "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of Uncle Ho's soldiers", "The military logistics sector follows Uncle Ho's teachings", "Building a good financial management unit", "5 good weapons warehouse"...

Emulation movements and emulation periods all focus on breaking through new tasks, weak links, and weak aspects to overcome and comprehensively complete all aspects of tasks, while at the same time linking emulation movements with studying and following Uncle Ho.

In 2023, Chi Linh City was chosen as one of the main locations for the province's defense zone exercise and the Military Region 3 defense zone combat exercise. Determining this as an important political task, Chi Linh City focuses on ensuring security and order, and mobilizing people to serve the combat units practicing in the area. The unit mobilized about 2,000 people to guide and participate in ensuring safety before, during and after the exercise.

In addition to the above tasks, officers and soldiers of the Chi Linh City Military Command still have to perform professional tasks, so they have to work on holidays and outside of office hours.

Major Tran Van He, Assistant to the Chief of Staff of the Chi Linh City Military Command, said that in order to achieve the “dual goal” of both performing well the task of serving the exercise and completing professional tasks, each officer, employee and soldier in the unit implemented the motto “one person does the work of two”, “work until the end of work, not until the end of time”. From the beginning of April to the end of September, almost all officers, soldiers and employees of the entire unit had no days off.

In 2023, the Chi Linh City Military Command directed 9 wards and communes to organize defense drills, 1 ward to conduct disaster prevention, search and rescue drills, and 1 sector to conduct combat assurance drills in the defense area. All drills took place safely, as planned, and were highly appreciated by superiors.

Building the defense area of ​​Chi Linh City is one of the breakthrough tasks of the Chi Linh City Military Command in 2023. The city's Military Command has proactively advised the Chi Linh City People's Committee to plan and deploy the construction of the defense area according to plan.

Despite many difficulties in site clearance, with the unit's great efforts and determination, the project was started as planned, with a total cost of about 23 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. Chi Linh City is also the first locality in the province to carry out the construction of a military project.

To overcome the limitations in the results of participating in competitions and sports events organized by superiors, in 2023, after receiving the content and plan from superiors, the Chi Linh City Military Command organized the selection of participating forces; built a scientific and rigorous training plan; invested time, funds, and facilities.

At the 2023 Competition for Excellent Political Teachers, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Hai Duong, Deputy Political Commissar of the City Military Command, won second prize. Responding to the movement "Green, clean, beautiful regular barracks", the City Military Command advised the People's Committee of Chi Linh City to invest nearly 2 billion VND to repair and renovate barracks, invest in equipment and machinery to serve professional work, create a clean and beautiful environment...

Many practical activities

Promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, in 2023, the armed forces of Chi Linh City continued to have many practical and meaningful activities. During the year, the City Military Command mobilized philanthropists, officers and soldiers in the unit to contribute and support the construction of 1 "House of Gratitude" and 1 "Great Unity" house for policy families with a total value of 150 million VND; presented 22 gifts to policy families in the area...

Implementing the program "Warm comradeship, joining hands to nurture green shoots", the Military Command of Chi Linh City continued to support the study expenses for 1 student who is a child of an agency employee with difficult circumstances with 500,000 VND/month; donated 3 bicycles, 2 sets of desks to 5 students with difficult circumstances in the area with a total value of 14 million VND.
