Break through the limitations

In previous years, there were conflicts and disunity within the Party Committee and Military Command of Gia Loc district. Units had petitions that went beyond their level, and party members violated regulations. There were many limitations in the tasks of military recruitment, training, combat readiness, competitions, and sports events...

From 2022, the Party Committee and Military Command of Gia Loc district have identified two breakthroughs: "Improving the quality of training and combat readiness of the district's armed forces" and "Promoting the building of regular units, enforcing discipline, and resolving internal relations between Party committees and units". The Party Committee and Military Command of the district have directed subordinate units to proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of cadres and soldiers; strictly maintain the organization of "political and cultural activities" on the last Thursday of the month. The District Military Party Committee also organizes democratic dialogues between leaders and the entire unit. Through these activities, the Party Committee has promptly grasped the thoughts of cadres and soldiers; resolved the opinions and recommendations of subordinates. In 2022, through democratic dialogues, many opinions have recommended that the unit pay attention to renovating facilities and working houses for cadres and soldiers; Strengthening exchange activities to enhance solidarity... The Party Committee and Military Command leaders have accepted, proposed to superiors and allocated a part of the unit's Savings Fund to invest in renovating and repairing facilities, offices for officers and soldiers; building dining halls, conference rooms, warehouses, duty houses... with a total cost of more than 10 billion VND. Every month, the Gia Loc District Military Command also maintains a "comrades' birthday" day (those born in the same month will have their birthdays celebrated by the unit); organizing meetings with military families on holidays and Tet... These activities create a joyful atmosphere, increasing solidarity in the whole unit.

Along with effectively resolving internal solidarity, the Party Committee and Military Command of Gia Loc district also focused on leading and directing the improvement of training quality, combat readiness, competitions, sports events... In 2023, the district had no young people who did not comply with district-level search orders or young people who did not receive military service orders.
At the provincial-level competition for excellent political lecturers held in April, the Gia Loc District Military Command won third prize for the entire delegation, and one individual was selected to participate in the military region competition and won third prize. The unit also won first prize in the Provincial Armed Forces Football Tournament...

In training and combat readiness, the District Military Command attaches responsibility to each Party Committee and head of agencies; promotes the role, responsibility, vanguard and exemplary nature of cadres and Party members in performing tasks. Cadres and commanders always closely follow the assigned areas, promptly coordinate with local Party Committees and authorities to overcome difficulties. In addition, the unit effectively launched and implemented the "Determined to Win" emulation movement, peak emulation period, and raids. Through evaluation, 100% of cadres and soldiers participated in training according to decentralization, of which over 80% achieved good and excellent results.

From 2022 to present, with funding from superiors and the unit, Gia Loc District Military Command has invested more than 10 billion VND to renovate facilities and workplaces for officers and soldiers.

Many practical activities

In early March, the Gia Loc District Military Command was selected by the Provincial Military Command as a training site for fire prevention and fighting plans for 12 districts, towns and cities. At the same time, the unit deployed training, organized training for the first-year militia force, and paid benefits to beneficiaries under Decision 49 of the Prime Minister... With great determination, in a short time, officers and soldiers consolidated the entire barracks, arranged warehouses, functional rooms, and renewed the signboard system...

Promoting the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the Gia Loc district armed forces also have many practical and meaningful activities in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. Officers and soldiers in the district unit regularly maintain thrift practice, contribute to the "Savings following Uncle Ho's example" Fund to join hands to support comrades and families with difficult circumstances to build houses... Since the beginning of the year, the District Military Command has mobilized socialization and allocated part of the fund to build a gratitude house for a family with meritorious services in Gia Luong commune with a total amount of more than 100 million VND; presented over 30 gifts to families with meritorious services and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers on the occasion of Lunar New Year...

By making the right choice, achieving breakthrough work, overcoming limitations, the Gia Loc district armed forces have made progress in many aspects of work, successfully completing all assigned tasks. In 2022, the District Military Command was awarded the title of Determined to Win Unit by Military Region 3. In the first 6 months of this year, the unit was assessed by the Provincial Military Command as the leading unit in the emulation of the provincial armed forces.
