At around 0:05 on January 29, the first day of Tet, a fire broke out at a house at address 9, lane 75 An Xa, Phuc Xa ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi.
Upon receiving the news, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center dispatched 2 fire trucks and 12 officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team, Ba Dinh District Police to the scene to perform their duties.
The house on fire has an area of about 30m2.2with a scale of 4 floors and 1 attic. The fire occurred on the 2nd floor of the house.
Upon arriving at the scene, through reconnaissance, it was determined that the fire was likely to spread, with many flammable objects emitting a lot of toxic smoke and gas, and at the same time there were people trapped in the fire area. The fire commander directed officers and soldiers to focus on rescuing people, while coordinating with the ward police and people to organize fire fighting and prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding areas.
During the fire fighting and rescue operation, the fire police force brought 3 family members trapped in the house to safety and coordinated with medical staff to take the victims to the emergency room.
According to initial information, all three victims are currently in stable health and mental condition. The cause of the fire is under investigation by authorities.
