Rescue of 92-year-old woman trapped in toy store fire at dawn

The fire broke out at around 4:19 a.m. on July 3 at a house and a business selling electric vehicles and bicycles at 243 To Hieu Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi. When smoke and fire were detected, residents shouted and notified the fire department.

After arriving at the scene, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force of Cau Giay District Police quickly approached, rescued and guided the victims to escape.

Discovering a 92-year-old woman trapped on the second floor of the house, the rescue team quickly approached and brought the victim to safety.

The fire broke out on the first floor, where many goods were stored, making it difficult to extinguish the fire. Given the complicated developments of the fire, the firefighting and rescue forces of area 2 coordinated to urgently extinguish the fire.

The fire was completely extinguished shortly afterwards, with no casualties.

The house that caught fire is 4 stories high, has an attic, and a floor area of ​​about 150 square meters. The first floor is used to sell toys, electric vehicle accessories, and bicycles; the second to fourth floors are for living.

The project has implemented temporary solutions for fire and explosion safety, opening exits at windows on all floors.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by Cau Giay District Police.
