Prosecution of traffic accident case that killed and injured 14 people on Hanoi - Hai Phong highway

On the afternoon of July 14, the Investigation Police Agency (Gia Loc District Police) issued a decision to prosecute the case of "Violating regulations on road traffic participation" for the serious traffic accident that occurred at 8:58 a.m. on July 11, at Km 49 + 400, Hanoi - Hai Phong highway in the direction from Hanoi to Hai Phong in Gia Loc town, Gia Loc district, Hai Duong province.

At the above time, the car with license plate 15F - 006.78 driven by Quach Van Lam (born in 1989, residing in Thanh Hoi commune, Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province), carrying 11 people, collided from behind, in the same direction, with the car with license plate 38C - 195.83 driven by Dang Quoc Hoang (born in 1983, residing in Nam Phuc Thang commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province), carrying 2 people, braking suddenly in lane 1, Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway in the direction from Hanoi to Hai Phong.

After the collision, Dang Quoc Hoang and Trinh Tuan Anh (who was in the same car with Hoang) got out and argued with Quach Van Lam at the front of Lam's car for 3 to 5 minutes.

While arguing, a car with license plate 30K - 757.00 driven by Tran Ngoc The (born in 1996, residing in Thai Hung commune, Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province), carrying 1 person, crashed into the back of car 15F - 006.78 and pushed this car to continue crashing into Trinh Tuan Anh and Quach Van Lam.

The accident resulted in the deaths of Trinh Tuan Anh and Quach Van Lam; 12 people in 3 vehicles were injured and taken to Hai Duong Provincial General Hospital and Gia Loc District Medical Center for emergency treatment; 3 people were not injured; the vehicles were severely damaged.
