The Investigation Police Agency of Chi Linh City Police has just issued a decision to prosecute 2 criminal cases, 2 defendants in Lang Son and Hoa Binh for the crime of manufacturing and storing prohibited goods with a total weight of fireworks in the 2 cases of 46.6 kg.
At 11:00 p.m. on December 15, at a rented room in Ky Son residential area, Tan Dan ward (Chi Linh city), a working group of Chi Linh city police discovered and caught Tran Van Phuc (born in 1995, registered in Hoa Son commune, Huu Lung district, Lang Son province) red-handed making homemade firecrackers.
At the scene, the task force discovered that Phuc had produced 68 firecrackers of different sizes. The police seized 10.6 kg of firecrackers and 0.2 kg of firecracker powder. Phuc confessed that he produced the firecrackers to sell for profit.
Phuc has a previous conviction for theft.
Previously, at 1:30 p.m. the same day, a working group of Chi Linh City Police in coordination with Dong Lac Ward Police inspected a boarding house in Tru Thuong residential area, Dong Lac Ward (Chi Linh City) and discovered Trieu Van Nghia (born in 1991, registered in Du Sang Commune, Kim Boi District, Hoa Binh Province) was storing 2 cardboard boxes containing a total of 168 firecrackers of various sizes with a total weight of 36kg. Nghia confessed that these were all homemade firecrackers, and Nghia was hiding them in his boarding house when he was discovered by the police.
The Investigation Police Agency of Chi Linh City Police has issued a decision to prosecute Tran Van Phuc for the crime of manufacturing prohibited goods; and issued a decision to prosecute Trieu Van Nghia for the crime of storing prohibited goods to continue investigating and handling according to the law.
