Fireworks decreased sharply on New Year's Eve in Hai Duong

During the 7-day Tet holiday of 2024, the security and order situation in Hai Duong province was stable, with no sudden or unexpected incidents. Illegal fireworks on New Year's Eve decreased sharply.

Pham Kha Commune Police (Thanh Mien) patrolled New Year's Eve, encouraging people to celebrate Tet happily and safely.

According to statistics compiled by Hai Duong Provincial Police, on New Year's Eve, police agencies at all levels discovered and handled 22 cases and 22 subjects illegally setting off fireworks (a decrease of 7 cases and 16 subjects compared to the New Year's Eve of the Year of the Cat). In addition, police agencies discovered 1 case and 1 subject illegally self-producing fireworks, confiscating 0.2 kg of fireworks in Chi Linh City; mobilized 3 cases to hand over 0.1 kg of fireworks powder, 0.3 kg of fireworks, and 1 box of fireworks in Kim Thanh District.

During Tet, there were no social order crimes in the province. The police discovered and arrested 2 cases, 6 subjects illegally using drugs, and seized 2 sets of drug use tools in Kinh Mon town. There were no violations or crimes in the economic and environmental fields in the province. People in Kinh Mon town, Kim Thanh district handed over more than 10 kg of firecrackers and 1 hunting gun.
