According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Hai Duong has about 600 hectares of agricultural production area applying water-saving irrigation technology. Of which, there are more than 45 hectares of greenhouses and net houses. Water saving irrigation through smart control system for watering by the hour. This technology helps to increase economic efficiency by 10-30% and save 55% of water compared to traditional methods.
To develop agricultural production areas applying water-saving irrigation, Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee supports 50% of construction investment costs for specialized areas of 20 hectares or more and adjacent areas and plots (support level does not exceed 50 million VND/ha). This support policy is applied according to the Project "Developing concentrated commodity agricultural production, applying high technology, organic agriculture in the period of 2021 - 2025, orientation to 2030" of the Provincial People's Committee.
