On November 12, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the country will continue to focus all its efforts on attacking the Hezbollah movement in Lebanon and there will be no ceasefire.

In a post on social network X, Minister Katz made it clear that there will be no ceasefire and no pause in Lebanon until Israel achieves its goals, including disarming Hezbollah and ensuring the safe return of northern Israelis to their homes.

He also affirmed that Israel would reject any ceasefire agreement that prevented it from carrying out airstrikes against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

In a related development, Lebanon's national news agency NNA reported that on the morning of November 12 local time, Israel conducted at least 10 airstrikes in southern Beirut.

The move comes shortly after the Israeli military called on residents in several neighborhoods to evacuate the area, which it said was a Hezbollah stronghold.

According to NNA, Israeli warplanes carried out 10 very intense airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut. Gray smoke covered the area after each airstrike.

Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon destroyed a building in the main city of Nabatiyeh and also targeted the eastern city of Hermel, NNA reported.

Last month, Israeli airstrikes leveled the historic market in Nabatiyeh. Another attack targeted the city’s municipal building, killing several people, including the mayor.

Cross-border fighting between Israel and Hezbollah began last October following the outbreak of conflict between Israel and the Hamas Islamist movement in the Gaza Strip.

In late September this year, tensions increased with Israel launching a large-scale ground offensive targeting southern Lebanon, as well as the southern suburbs of Beirut and the Bekaa Valley.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, over the past year, more than 3,240 people have died, but the majority of them have been recorded since late September this year.
