Step 1: First, go to the Google Chrome application on your computer or phone.

Step 2: In the Chrome window, there will be Google accounts that you have logged in on the device. If the Google account that you have not used for a long time is available, you just need to select the account to log in. If the account is not available, you need to select Add to log in to the account.

Step 3: Fill in the information including Google account name and password and then click on the next box to log in.

Step 1: Click on the Google avatar in the right corner of the screen, then select Account Management.

Step 2: Next, go to Data & Privacy. In this section, scroll down to More Options, here you select Delete Google Account.

Step 3: Google will ask you to enter your account password to verify that you are the account owner. After successful verification, you agree to the terms and click Delete account.

Why Google Accounts Can Be Deleted

According to the latest policy that Google has just updated, accounts that are inactive for at least 2 years will be deleted.

In addition to losing access to email addresses, other data including Gmail, Calendar, Drive, documents in the Workspace suite, and Google Photos backups will also be deleted.

However, Google has no plans to delete the YouTube channel associated with the account. This is because some channels or videos may be historical, used for reference or long-term storage.

Google said it will proceed carefully, sending repeated notifications over several months to the account's primary email address and recovery email address, if one exists, before deleting the account.

Additionally, the account deletion policy will only apply to accounts created for free by individual users, not to accounts managed by schools or businesses.

How to forget Google account password?

You want to access your Google account to restore activity, avoid account deletion but forgot password. At this time you can follow the steps below.

- At the login window, click "Forgot password".

- You will be asked a few questions to confirm that the account is yours. Please answer the questions as accurately as possible.

- Reset your password as instructed. Choose a strong password that you have never used with this account.

In case you forgot the email address you used to log in, to find your username, follow these steps.

You'll need to know: Your account's recovery phone number or email address; your full name on your account.

When you follow the instructions to confirm you are the account owner, you will find a list of usernames that match your account.

If you still can't recover your account, you can create a new Google Account. When you create a new account, you can follow the steps provided to avoid losing access or having your Google Account deleted.
