The popular manual clutch motorbike model has a new identification sticker set, the engine has an additional two-way anti-slip clutch, and is sold at dealers from December 24.
On December 9, Honda launched a slightly upgraded version of the Winner X manual transmission motorbike for domestic customers. Winner X is sold in 3 versions, including: standard priced at 46.16 million VND, special priced at 50.06 million VND and sport priced at 50.56 million VND. This selling price is unchanged from the old version.
The upgrade in the design of Honda Winner X is only in the new paint color option, besides the decal set. The engine has an additional two-way anti-slip clutch, a common equipment on high-end motorbikes. The remaining equipment remains the same.
ABS brakes are only available on the two high-end versions of Winner X. Standard equipment of the manual clutch model includes a USB charging port at the front of the vehicle, LED headlights, and a digital speedometer.
Winner X is still equipped with a single-cylinder DOHC engine, 150cc capacity, liquid-cooled, electronic fuel injection, 15.4 horsepower, 13.5 Nm torque at 6,500 rpm. 6-speed gearbox, manual clutch.
The Yamaha Exciter 155 VVA competitor is equipped with a 155cc SOHC engine, with greater power and torque than the Winner X, at 17.7 horsepower and 14.4 Nm. The gearbox is also a 6-speed manual clutch.
The price of Exciter is a few million VND higher than Winner X. Yamaha's model in Vietnam is sold in 4 versions, including standard at 48 million VND, high-end at 51 million VND, ABS at 54 million VND and GP/limited at 55 million VND.
Exciter and Winner X have almost captured the entire market share of the popular manual motorbike segment under 175cc that does not require an A2 license in Vietnam. Yamaha did not announce the sales of Exciter, while Honda Winner X sold 11,856 vehicles in 2022.
Exciter has been the best-selling model in its segment for many years, but according to a source fromreporter, this position currently belongs to Winner X. The Japanese company was not successful with the first generation Winner, but then, from 2019, with improvements in appearance, lower price than competitors and a wide dealer network, Honda's manual clutch model rose to lead the segment sales.
