On the afternoon of March 19, the Veterans Association of Hai Duong province presented money to support house repair "out of comradeship" to member Nguyen Duc Dien (in zone 9, Thanh Binh ward, Hai Duong city).
The family of veteran Nguyen Duc Dien is in difficult circumstances, and their house is in serious disrepair. Mr. Dien is a special war invalid, a victim of Agent Orange; his 3 children are all affected by toxic chemicals and are receiving monthly allowances.
The total repair cost is 50 million VND, of which the Hai Duong Provincial Veterans Association supported 25 million VND, the remaining amount was supported by brothers, children and relatives in the family.
At the donation ceremony, the Party Committee, government, and mass organizations of Thanh Binh ward and residential area number 9 all gave gifts to Mr. Dien's family.
