51,250 candidates registered for the Hanoi National University's aptitude test (HSA) in the first three rounds, with only one testing site still having vacancies.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of the Testing Center, Hanoi National University, said on March 5 that the above number of candidates registered for three HSA exams taking place in March and April.

As designed, these three rounds of exams will serve about 51,500 candidates at 17 testing locations in Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Tinh, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Hai Duong. Last year, in the first four rounds, the number of candidates taking the exam was just over 43,000.

"Only Ha Tinh University's exam scores still have vacancies," Mr. Thao informed.

Registration for the first round of exams (March 23-24) has closed. Candidates who registered for the first round cannot cancel their exam or edit their information. If the fee is not paid within 96 hours of registration, the candidate will lose the right to take the exam.

On February 18, when the registration portal for this round was opened, over 96,200 accounts accessed it, causing the system of Hanoi National University to be congested for many hours.

The second (April 6-7) and third (April 20-24) sessions will continue to be open for candidates to choose the sessions with available seats. The registration portal will close approximately 14-18 days before the exam date.

This year, Hanoi National University plans to hold 6 rounds of competency assessment exams, with 84,000 test takers. In addition to the exams in March and April, three other rounds will take place in May and June. Registration for these rounds opens at 9:00 a.m. on March 6.

When registering, candidates choose the location, date, and session of the exam, with a maximum of two attempts, at least 28 days apart. The registration system only allows the account to operate on one device at the same time. The exam fee is 500,000 VND per attempt.

The HSA exam is taken on a computer, in 195 to 199 minutes, with a maximum score of 150. The exam consists of three parts with objective multiple-choice questions (choose the answer), fill-in-the-blank questions in the fields of mathematics (50 questions, 75 minutes), literature - language (50 questions, 60 minutes), natural sciences - social sciences (50 questions, 60 minutes). Parts 1 and 3 will have 1-3 additional test questions, not scored.
