Hai Duong builds special resolution to support vocational students

On the afternoon of July 8, Mr. Luu Van Ban, Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to listen to the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs report and propose solutions to improve the quality of vocational education associated with job creation at enterprises in the province.

According to the report at the meeting, as of March 31, 2024, Hai Duong had 382,500 employees working in 8,689 enterprises, including 105,500 employees working in 265 enterprises in industrial parks, about 277,000 employees working in 8,424 enterprises outside industrial parks.

There are about 63,000 laborers from other provinces working in Hai Duong; about 103,000 laborers of working age from Hai Duong are working in other provinces; about 27,500 laborers of working age are working abroad under contract; laborers of working age are performing military service (military) about 2,400 people/year.

Coordinate with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, localities to thoroughly assess the operation of Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers, consider the scale, nature, capacity of the teaching staff, conditions of facilities and equipment to determine training goals for these facilities in accordance with the requirements in the new situation.

Based on regulations, the Provincial Military Command recommends mechanisms and policies to attract demobilized soldiers to return to their localities to participate in the labor market and learn a trade to train a high-quality workforce.

The Provincial Industrial Park Management Board coordinates with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to advise and report to the Provincial People's Committee on labor recruitment needs, the need to connect labor supply and demand, and listen to the opinions of investors, employers, and businesses on participating in vocational education and improving the quality of human resources.

The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs coordinates to rebuild the report, advises the Provincial People's Committee to propose the development of a specific resolution of the province on policies to support students participating in vocational education in accordance with the province's investment attraction and current regulations, including 2 groups: highly trained workers; workers trained at elementary, general levels, regular workers...

The Department of Finance shall take the lead in coordinating and proposing the allocation of funding for investment in facilities and training equipment for vocational training institutions in the province to meet the training needs of high-tech industries and supporting industries to develop industry according to the province's investment attraction purposes...

People's Committees of districts, towns and cities coordinate to guide and encourage enterprises, production and business establishments by field and in the area to cooperate with vocational training institutions to place training orders and employ trained workers.

Also at this meeting, Mr. Luu Van Ban, Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, listened to reports from relevant departments, branches, agencies and units on policies to support the poor in the province; results of reviewing and evaluating the implementation of legal regulations on housing construction in urban areas and housing in the province.
