On the morning of April 24, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province summarized the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2024. 3 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in this work were awarded.
The collectives awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee include: Provincial Military Command, Department of Health and Ninh Giang District People's Committee. The five individuals awarded certificates of merit include: Lieutenant Colonel An Xuan Tue, Commander of Thanh Mien District Military Command; Lieutenant Colonel Vu Quang Khuong, Commander of Kinh Mon Town Military Command; Nguyen Van Kien, Chairman of Chi Linh City People's Committee; Pham Quang Hung, Chairman of Kim Thanh District People's Committee; Vu Thi Ha, Chairman of Tu Ky District People's Committee.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Luu Van Ban, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the efforts of units and localities to successfully complete the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2024.
To continue to prepare and carry out well the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in the coming time, Mr. Luu Van Ban, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested members of the Provincial Military Service Council to regularly monitor, direct, guide, and help; promptly remove difficulties and obstacles right at the locality and base.
The Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police closely coordinate with relevant departments, branches and sectors to proactively advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Provincial Military Service Council to lead and direct the implementation of the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army, ensuring 100% completion of the target.
Departments, branches, sectors and organizations need to coordinate and cooperate closely with the standing agency, the Provincial Military Command, to advise the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Military Service Council to develop plans, guide, inspect and urge localities and bases to organize implementation.
Party committees and authorities at all levels need to focus on leadership, direction, and organization to implement military recruitment work strictly, fairly, publicly, and in accordance with the Law on Military Service. In 2024, Hai Duong has assigned 2,500 male citizens (an increase of 100 people compared to 2023) to 12 key units under the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 3. The quality of military recruitment this year has been improved, ensuring absolute safety. The Military Service Councils of districts, towns and cities have paid attention to implementing the military rear policy well, opening classes to foster awareness of the Party for more than 400 outstanding young men to join the army.
