Hai Duong welcomes about 200 archers from all over the country to compete in the National Youth Archery Championship

From July 4, the first archery teams will arrive in Hai Duong to familiarize themselves with the field before entering the 2024 National Youth Archery Championship.

At this tournament, Hai Duong sent a team of 14 archers, led by coach Nguyen Xuan Thanh, with the goal of winning at least 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 2 bronze medals. Among the 14 athletes, there are two brothers Pham Tran Hoang (born in 2005) and Pham Tran Bao Huy. Pham Tran Hoang is the reigning champion of the 3-string bow at the 9th National Sports Festival in 2022. Hai Duong's famous national archers Nguyen Hoang Phi Vu and Le Phuong Thao did not compete in this tournament because they were too old.

According to the tournament regulations issued by the Department of Physical Education and Sports, male and female athletes will compete in the all-around events of 1-string bow, 3-string bow, distances of 50mx2, 60mx2 and combination events.

This is the third time Hai Duong has hosted the National Youth Archery Championship. The tournament will take place at Do Luong Stadium in the premises of the Hai Duong Sports Training, Coaching and Competition Center. In addition to the host Hai Duong, the tournament will have the participation of about 200 archers and 38 coaches from 16 delegations nationwide.

Hai Duong, An Giang, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dak Lak, Dong Thap, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hau Giang, Kien Giang, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Soc Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Vinh Phuc.
