Hai Duong is operating at full capacity all flood drainage pumping stations that meet operational conditions.

According to Hai Duong Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd., by 4 p.m. on September 14, the unit had operated 102 pumping stations with a total of 527 pumps to drain inland water for localities in the province. Of these, 55 pumping stations drained water to external rivers and 47 pumping stations drained water to inland rivers.

Currently, the water level of many rivers is still high, so pumping to drain floodwaters is difficult. The Provincial Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. requires member enterprises to closely monitor the water level of rivers in the area and proactively divide the drainage zones. From there, propose appropriate pumping and drainage according to the principle of maximizing the operation of pumping stations that are qualified to operate to urgently prevent inland flooding.

After storm No. 3, from September 9-13, Hai Duong area had heavy to very heavy rain with an average rainfall of 259.5 mm. Localities with heavy rainfall were Thanh Mien district (376 mm), Cam Giang (359 mm), Nam Sach (272 mm)... Meanwhile, the water level of the river outside rose, sometimes exceeding the alarm level III, causing some inland areas to be flooded and difficult to pump and drain.
