Five people from Kim Thanh were punished for organizing the illegal use and trafficking of drugs.
On the afternoon of February 25, the People's Court of Kim Thanh district tried the criminal case against Bui Van Giap, born in 2000, in Phat Minh village, Hoa Binh commune (Kim Thanh) and his accomplices for the crime of organizing the illegal use and trafficking of drugs.
At about 3:00 p.m. on June 7, 2024, at the dike area of Phong Noi village, Hoa Binh commune (Kim Thanh), Bui Van Giap and the subjects, all from Kim Thanh district, including: Nguyen Van Tung (born in 1985, in Chuan Thung village, Kim Dinh commune), Le Van Quy (born in 1995, in Hai Ninh village, Kim Tan commune), Vu Van Oanh (born in 1999, in Van Tho village, Dai Duc commune) and Nguyen Van Bach (born in 1991, residing in Phong Noi village, Binh Dan commune) pooled money to buy drugs and used them together when they were arrested by the authorities.
The court sentenced Bui Van Giap and Nguyen Van Tung to 8 years and 6 months in prison; Le Van Quy was sentenced to 8 years in prison; Vu Van Oanh and Nguyen Van Bach each to 7 years and 9 months in prison.
