Nearly 300 social houses of Kinh Bac in An Duong district, Hai Phong are expected to be rented from 2.3 million VND for an area of over 26 square meters.
The Hai Phong Department of Construction said it had received a report from Saigon - Hai Phong Industrial Park Joint Stock Company (SHP) on social housing rental prices at buildings CT4 and CT9. These are two buildings in the Trang Due commercial service urban area and workers' housing in An Duong district. SHP is a unit of Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC) with an ownership rate of more than 89%.
Accordingly, nearly 300 social houses for rent have an area of 26.4-54.5 m2. The expected rental price is 87,400 VND per m2 per month (including VAT, maintenance fee), equivalent to 2.3-4.7 million VND per house.
Previously, the Department of Construction also announced that 236 social houses in CT7 building in this urban area are eligible for business.
The social housing project in Trang Due urban area of commercial services and workers' housing includes 10 15-storey apartment buildings, providing more than 2,500 apartments, meeting the accommodation needs of more than 9,000 workers. This is the third social housing project to be started in Hai Phong in the past two years.
Considered the industrial capital of the North, Hai Phong City has started 7 social housing projects in 2023-2024, with urgent progress to complete within 24 months. The city also arranged a land fund of nearly 650 hectares to build social housing in convenient locations such as near urban centers or industrial parks.
According to the city’s Resolution, in addition to the goal of completing 15,400 social housing units by 2025, Hai Phong also wants to develop residential areas with synchronous technical and social infrastructure. These projects must be close to commercial housing in terms of location, quality and price, in order to have many segments suitable to the needs of the majority of the city’s residents.
