Nearly 69% of 9th grade students in Hai Duong registered for the 10th grade entrance exam to public high schools.

In addition, there are 7,935 candidates registered for admission to grade 10 at non-public high schools and facilities implementing continuing education programs at high school level.

This year, Hai Duong has about 30,400 grade 9 students, of which 28,859 candidates registered to take the exam and apply for grade 10 at public high schools, non-public high schools, and facilities implementing the high school continuing education program.

Thus, there are more than 1,500 students who did not register for the exam and admission to grade 10. These students will choose to study at vocational schools or other orientations.

A representative of the Hai Duong Department of Education and Training said that it is not yet possible to announce the specific number of candidates registering for the 10th grade entrance exam at each public high school. It is expected that the department will announce this data closer to the exam date to avoid causing confusion, creating more pressure and anxiety for parents and students.

Previously, from May 16 to 22, 9th grade students across the province registered to take the exam and apply for admission to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year. After candidates returned their exam registration forms to the school, the exam guidance team of each secondary school entered the candidates' exam registration data into the exam management software of the Department of Education and Training.

After 5:00 p.m. on May 22, candidates will not be allowed to register for additional or adjusted applications. On May 23, the units will review and make final corrections to candidate information errors (no application adjustments). This is the third school year that the Department of Education and Training has implemented online application registration.
