Nearly 1,500 poor students in Cam Giang receive tuition support

Cam Giang is one of the localities in Hai Duong that effectively implements the policy of exempting and reducing tuition fees for poor students.

Nearly 1,500 students from poor and near-poor households in Cam Giang district are exempted or have their tuition fees and other contributions reduced or exempted for 3 school years (2020-2021; 2021-2022 and 2022-2023) with a total amount of nearly 700 million VND. This is the information stated in the mid-term assessment report on the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025 of Cam Giang district.

Cam Giang is one of the localities in Hai Duong that has effectively implemented the education and training support program under the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the 2021-2025 period, including a policy of exempting and reducing tuition fees for poor students.

In addition to tuition exemptions and reductions, preschool children from poor and near-poor households in the district are also supported with lunch money. Disabled students are supported with school supplies and are awarded annual scholarships.
