FPT becomes strategic shareholder of top 10 global AI company

FPT and Landing AI - a leading US computer vision and artificial intelligence (AI) software company - have just signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop business and human resources. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

AI cooperation, according to FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh, is one of the pillars of Vietnam - US cooperation in the coming time. "Cooperation with leading companies in the world such as Landing AI, with Dr. Andrew Ng will open a new era for AI development in Vietnam, contributing to making Vietnam a leading power in AI," said Mr. Binh.

The agreement between FPT and Landing AI is expected to be a step forward in implementing cooperation activities in the field of AI between the US and Vietnam, aiming to bring opportunities to expand the market for both sides. According to the cooperation memorandum, FPT becomes one of the major investors and strategic partners of Landing AI in the Asia-Pacific market. The two sides are committed to developing AI in two areas, technology and education.

In the technology field, FPT and Landing AI will cooperate to implement AI projects such as developing computer vision applications for industries, healthcare, education and many other fields. This is the field where Landing AI is strong in the North American region.

Previously, FPT and Landing AI have coordinated and provided AI solutions for the production line of a global corporation in the field of automobile interior manufacturing. According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation, as a major shareholder, FPT will continue to support Landing AI in introducing and deploying computer vision solutions for customers in Vietnam and Asia-Pacific, taking advantage of FPT's customer network and market experience.

In the education sector, Landing AI will cooperate with FPT Education to develop an AI curriculum for students from grades 1 to 12. The entire program will be compiled by Dr. Andrew Ng - top 100 most influential people in the field of AI - and his colleagues. In addition, Landing AI is also considering establishing an engineering training center in Vietnam.
