On the afternoon of February 25, within the framework of the Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival 2024, at the Con Son Pagoda stone yard (Chi Linh), the Hai Duong Provincial Ethnic Wrestling Championship took place.
42 wrestlers from 7 districts, towns and cities: Tu Ky, Gia Loc, Ninh Giang, Nam Sach, Kinh Mon, Chi Linh City and Hai Duong City participated in individual competitions in 7 weight categories including: 45 - 50 kg, 50 - 55 kg, 55 - 60 kg, 60 - 65 kg, 65 - 70 kg, 70 - 75 kg, over 75 kg and competed in the festival competition.
In addition, male tourists coming to visit during the spring festival can participate in the traditional wrestling competition.
The national wrestling tournament is organized to restore, develop and encourage the movement of practicing and competing in traditional and ethnic sports; meeting the entertainment needs of all classes of people during the Con Son - Kiep Bac Spring Festival.
The wrestlers will continue to compete on February 26. On the afternoon of February 26, the Organizing Committee will award the wrestlers with high achievements and close the tournament.
