Hai Duong ranked third in the National Swimming and Diving Championship 25m pool

This year’s 25m National Swimming and Diving Championship took place from March 16 at the Hue City Sports Center, gathering more than 224 excellent athletes from 24 delegations nationwide. The athletes competed for 74 sets of medals, including 45 sets of swimming events and 29 sets of diving events.

Hai Duong delegation participated in the tournament with 10 athletes and 2 coaches. With the goal of winning 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, 3 bronze medals, Hai Duong swimmers competed with determination and enthusiasm.

After 5 days of exciting and dramatic competition, Hai Duong athletes far exceeded the set target when bringing home 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. Swimmer Pham Thi Thu excellently won 2 gold medals in the 50m and 100m double fins, 2 silver medals in the 200m and 400m double fins, 1 bronze medal in the 50m fin hose. Swimmer Le Thi Thu Van won 2 gold medals in the 200m and 400m double fins, 1 silver medal in the 100m double fins. The remaining silver medal of Hai Duong belonged to the double fins relay event of 4 athletes Pham Thi Thu, Le Thi Thanh Van, Vu Ngoc Diep and Nguyen Nam Khanh.

With impressive achievements, Hai Duong ranked third in the overall medal table, only behind Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai.
