Quang Hung received a heavy penalty for his bad behavior.

On the afternoon of January 21, the VFF Disciplinary Board issued a penalty to SHB Da Nang player Quang Hung. Accordingly, the former Vietnamese player must pay a fine of VND15 million and be suspended from the next two matches for "intentionally violating the body of an opposing player" in the match between SHB Da Nang and Hanoi FC on January 19, in round 10 of the LPBank V-League.

The situation happened in the 56th minute, Quang Hung dropped the ball and intentionally used his arm to violently hit midfielder Le Xuan Tu (Hanoi FC) in the face.

Referee Tran Ngoc Nho immediately gave Quang Hung a yellow card, but the tournament organizers thought this was an act that needed a heavier penalty, so they transferred the file to the VFF Disciplinary Board.

Quang Hung was once called up by coach Toshiya Miura to the Vietnam national team to participate in the 2015 Asian Cup qualifiers. Returning to the field after being involved in a match-fixing scandal in Ninh Binh, Quang Hung played for Binh Duong in 2023 before joining SHB Da Nang.

In round 10, SHB Da Nang lost 0-2 to Hanoi FC despite playing at home. With this result, after 10 rounds, the Han River team still has not known victory in the highest level of competition in Vietnam.
