Five players of Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club will be temporarily suspended from competing in national football tournaments managed by the Vietnam Football Federation.
On the afternoon of May 8, the Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) issued Decision No. 277/QD-LĐBĐVN on temporarily suspending 5 players of Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club to investigate suspicions of using banned substances.
Specifically: Temporarily suspend from competition until a replacement decision is made for 5 players of Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club including: Nguyen Trung Hoc (born March 3, 1998), Nguyen Ngoc Thang (born August 2, 2002), Duong Quang Tuan (born June 20, 1996), Nguyen Van Truong (November 16, 2003), Dinh Thanh Trung (born January 24, 1988) in national football tournaments managed and organized by the Vietnam Football Federation because they were detained by the Ha Tinh City Police Investigation Agency to investigate suspicions of using banned substances.
Previously, on May 4, Ha Tinh Provincial Police inspected rooms 501 and 502 at the BM Hotel in the area. During the inspection, 10 subjects (5 men and 5 women) were found to be organizing illegal drug use.
Among the suspended names, Dinh Thanh Trung was the 2017 Vietnam Golden Ball and won the V-League championship with Quang Nam Club.
