"Sharing with teachers" program honors 68 outstanding teachers

Outstanding teachers are teachers with outstanding achievements; many innovative initiatives in teaching and learning with high results; working in remote, border, island and difficult areas.

On the evening of November 16, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training and Thien Long Group to organize the program "Sharing with teachers" in 2022, honoring 68 teachers with outstanding achievements.

After more than 2 months of launching the program (July 29 - October 9, 2022), the Organizing Committee received 123 profiles of teachers introduced by 56 provinces, cities and organizations, thereby selecting 68 outstanding teachers to be honored.

These are teachers with outstanding achievements, whose students have participated and won awards at national and international competitions for excellent students; have many innovative initiatives in teaching and learning that have been applied in practice and achieved high results; are working in remote areas, border areas, islands, areas with difficult socio-economic conditions and have had achievements recognized by the community and society...

The oldest teacher is Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Dung (born in 1969), working at Vinh Hao Primary School, Vinh Hao Commune, Vinh Thanh District, Binh Dinh Province, retired in August 2022; working time 36 years.

The youngest teacher is Ms. Vo Thi Kim Trang (born in 1997), working at Son Dinh Kindergarten, Son Dinh commune, Son Hoa district, Phu Yen province; working time is 4 years.

In addition, 10 ethnic minority teachers were honored in this Program.

Each honored teacher was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, a logo of the Program, a savings book worth 10 million VND, along with many other valuable prizes and forms of commendation from the Ministry of Education and Training.

Speaking at the program, Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union Nguyen Ngoc Luong expressed his admiration, respect and gratitude to the teachers who have devoted their entire working process to the cause of "growing people", overcoming all difficulties, leaving smooth roads to go to remote and deprived places to impart knowledge and skills to students - all for the future of the country.

The Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union hopes that this program with profound humanistic meaning will contribute to encouraging and motivating teachers; help teachers have more spiritual strength to overcome all challenges, constantly research and create the most effective teaching methods, contribute to the development of the country, and train a generation of Vietnamese people who will realize the goal of building a strong country.

Since 2015, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and Thien Long Group have coordinated with ministries and branches to organize the program "Sharing with teachers" to honor teachers and individuals with outstanding achievements in teaching, many contributions to the cause of education and nurturing the young generation...

After 7 times of organization, the Program has selected and honored more than 400 teachers who are "living in remote areas"; teachers working at schools in island districts, district-level administrative units with island communes; teachers wearing green uniforms; teachers teaching students with disabilities; teachers directly teaching ethnic minority students; teachers who are ethnic minorities; teachers with many initiatives and innovations in teaching methods in areas with difficult socio-economic conditions, areas heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
