National Assembly Chairman breaks ground on transport project and visits several units of Khanh Hoa province

At the groundbreaking ceremony of the project, on behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Hoa province, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan said that implementing Resolution No. 09-NQ/TW dated January 28, 2022 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, Resolution No. 55/2022/QH15 dated June 11, 2022 of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Khanh Hoa province, the Party Committee, government and people of Khanh Hoa province have made efforts to implement and achieved positive results. The specific mechanisms and policies from the Resolutions have created conditions for Khanh Hoa to comprehensively develop in terms of socio-economy, national defense and security, including poverty reduction in the two mountainous districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh.

The traffic project from National Highway 27C to Provincial Road 656 connecting Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan provinces through Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son districts is identified as an important national project, with the scale of a grade III mountainous road, about 56.7km long, designed with 2 lanes, and a total roadbed width of 9m. The total investment is 1,930 billion VND, including central budget capital and local budget capital. The project is divided into 2 component projects: the compensation and resettlement support component project and the construction and installation component project; the project implementation period is from 2023 to the end of 2027.

This is an important traffic route, connecting the two mountainous districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh, in accordance with the orientation of the Transport Infrastructure Development Plan under the Khanh Hoa Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 318/QD-TTg dated March 29, 2023; creating conditions for socio-economic development of the two mountainous districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh in particular and Khanh Hoa province in general. Thereby, increasing the ability to connect traffic, transport goods, and inter-regional tourism with Lam Dong province and Ninh Thuan province; strengthening national defense and security in the area, creating a mobile and smooth traffic network in all situations to ensure security and national defense; effectively serving the work of patrolling, controlling, managing, and protecting forests.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tan Tuan requested the Investor, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Management Board, to closely and resolutely manage and control the quality, progress and investment capital throughout the implementation of the Project; at the same time, proactively coordinate with the People's Committees of Khanh Vinh and Khanh Son districts and forest management agencies and units in the area to carry out site clearance, forest service conversion, forest product collection and replacement forest planting in compliance with regulations and ensure progress in sync with the project implementation. Relevant departments, branches and sectors, Khanh Son District People's Committee and Khanh Vinh District People's Committee support and create all favorable conditions to soon complete and put the project into operation, creating a premise to promote economic development of the two mountainous districts in particular and Khanh Hoa province in general.

On the same day, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the Central Working Delegation also visited and inspected the 189th Submarine Brigade under the Navy.

The 189th Submarine Brigade under the Navy was established on June 20, 2011. The Brigade quickly mastered technical equipment and weapons and mastered the modern Kilo-636 submarine; fully promoted the superior technical and tactical features of the submarine, ready to deploy to carry out missions in accordance with the combat intentions of superiors; took the lead in building a regular, elite, and modern unit in the Navy; grasped, managed, and advised the Party Committee, the Navy Command, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on effective submarine combat plans, contributing to firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea, islands, and sacred continental shelf of the Fatherland.

After nearly 15 years of construction and development, the Brigade has been awarded many noble prizes by the Party, the State, and the Ministry of National Defense, including the First and Third Class Fatherland Protection Medals; Emulation Flags of the Government in 2022 and 2023; and 9 times awarded the Emulation Flag of the Ministry of National Defense.

In the coming time, the 189th Submarine Brigade will continue to thoroughly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the directives and resolutions of superiors; deserve to be one of the leading units in building a "refined, compact, strong, modern" unit suitable to practical operating conditions, excellently completing all assigned tasks; build a truly strong political unit, improve the level of mastery of modern weapons and technical equipment, ready to firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland; constantly improve the quality of combat training, discipline training, build a regular system, and do a good job of ensuring logistics and technology.

Along with that, it is necessary to build a clean and strong Party organization, a strong command organization, mass organization, and military council; promote the revolutionary emulation movement, promote traditions, contribute talents, and be worthy of the title "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new era.

Visiting and directly inspecting the training and combat readiness of the Brigade, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated and commended the achievements of the unit. On this occasion, the National Assembly Chairman presented gifts to the officers and soldiers of the Brigade.

Also during his working trip to Khanh Hoa province, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue mobilized social resources to build 200 solidarity houses, worth a total of 16 billion VND, to give to poor households in Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh districts. On the afternoon of March 1, at the headquarters of Khanh Vinh District People's Committee, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and delegates witnessed the leaders of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group and Vietcombank presenting symbolic plaques to support the construction of 200 solidarity houses for poor households in Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh districts.

These meaningful gifts will be quickly materialized by the local government, so that the poor in the two districts can soon live in solidarity houses.

* In the afternoon of the same day, in Nha Trang City, the National Assembly Chairman and the delegation offered incense and flowers at the Martyrs' Shrine - Tram Huong Tower.

In a solemn atmosphere, the National Assembly Chairman and members of the delegation performed the flower and incense offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and the heroes and martyrs who fought and heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
