A pair of luxury Porsche Macan cars with the same license plate "meet" in Hanoi

On the morning of April 19, images of two Porsche Macans with similar colors and the same license plate 30A-715.10 parked at the lobby of Times City urban area (Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi) appeared on social networks.

The image of the pair of luxury cars with the same license plate was recorded by the female owner of the brown Porsche Macan and posted on a large car forum on social networks.

According to the woman, while preparing to take her child to school, she accidentally saw a car with a "look" similar to hers parked in the same apartment lobby. What's special is that the Porsche Macan mentioned above also has the same license plate number as her car: 30A-715.10.

She asked the urban security guard to lock the other car's wheels and wait for the authorities to come and clarify the matter.

The female owner’s Porsche Macan is brown, the regular version. The one that is believed to be a “fake” is dark gray, using the rims of the Macan Turbo version. In Vietnam, the Porsche Macan is in the same segment as other luxury SUV competitors such as the Range Rover Evoque, Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes GLK…

It is known that the case is being received by the police and there is no official result yet.

Previously, on February 28 in Hanoi, two Mercedes-Benz E300 cars of the same color and with the same license plate 30E-488.16 were also seen parked next to each other. Then, on the morning of March 2, Ha Dong District Police temporarily detained the two cars and investigated whether one of the two cars was using a fake license plate.

Article 53, Clause 3 of the Road Traffic Law stipulates: "Motor vehicles must be registered and have license plates issued by competent state agencies." The act of installing another vehicle's license plate on your vehicle will be considered a crime of using a fake license plate.

According to Clause 5, Article 16 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP on administrative sanctions in the field of road and railway traffic, the act of "driving a car with a license plate that does not match the vehicle registration or with a license plate not issued by a competent authority" is subject to a fine of 4-6 million.

At the same time, violators will have their driving licenses revoked for 1-3 months. License plates not issued by the competent authority will be confiscated.
