This is the final year of the term, and also the year of Party Congresses at all levels leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, preparing for the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

During the remaining time of December and the first 3 months of 2025, the National Assembly Chairman requested agencies to focus highly on handling the huge workload, requiring very high progress. In particular, it is necessary to arrange, streamline, and perfect the organization of the political system.

"Central agencies need to complete this work before the 14th National Party Congress. In February 2025, the 9th Extraordinary Session is expected to take place to amend relevant laws to serve the implementation of the streamlining of the apparatus. Before that, in January 2025, the National Assembly Standing Committee must meet to give opinions on these contents.", said the National Assembly Chairman.

Therefore, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested that National Assembly agencies coordinate with Government agencies to urgently and speed up the preparation of documents to ensure the progress of submission according to the program set forth by the National Assembly Standing Committee.

According to the National Assembly Chairman, after the extraordinary session in February 2025, there are less than 3 months to prepare for the 9th Session, so agencies need to continue to urge the implementation and preparation of projects and drafts that will be submitted to the National Assembly from this time.

"In the context of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus, I suggest that the National Assembly agencies, ministries and branches assigned to preside over the drafting and review of draft laws need to promote high responsibility, carry out assigned tasks until the last day of operation, and should not have a mentality of giving up or relying on the new agencies. It is necessary to ensure that the work is carried out smoothly and without interruption before, during and after the restructuring and merger.", National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized.

The National Assembly Chairman said that after the Steering Committee on streamlining the National Assembly apparatus meets (scheduled for December 16), the National Assembly leadership will chair a meeting with all officials, civil servants, and public employees of the National Assembly agencies to thoroughly grasp this spirit.

In the immediate future, the National Assembly Chairwoman assigned Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh to work with the National Assembly Television and the Institute for Legislative Studies under the National Assembly Standing Committee on December 13 to thoroughly grasp the spirit of the Central Executive Committee's resolution, the Politburo's direction, and the conclusion of General Secretary To Lam at the National Conference on December 1.

Also at the conclusion of the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman requested the Government and the Supreme People's Court to urgently direct the completion of dossiers of draft laws and draft resolutions to be submitted to the National Assembly at the 9th Session.

The National Assembly Chairman assigned the Secretary General of the National Assembly to coordinate with the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, and relevant agencies to carefully review each task, ensuring immediate implementation of the content included in the working program of the National Assembly Standing Committee in 2025.
