Hai Duong Red Cross Society at all levels helps nearly 60,300 people

Head of the Central Communications Department of the Vietnam Red Cross Society Tran Thu Hang presented a certificate of merit from the Central Committee to the Provincial Red Cross Society.

In 2023, the Provincial Red Cross Association at all levels will continue to focus on developing the association's bases in agencies, enterprises, armed forces, and schools; strengthen the development and use of collaborators and volunteers to support the activities of the association's specialized agencies; effectively implement the "Humanitarian Tet" movement. Promote the implementation of the Campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address"; continue to survey and build houses and inaugurate Red Cross houses for poor households... Strive for social work activities in the whole province to reach over 30 billion VND; propagate and mobilize voluntary blood donation to reach 19,000 units of blood.

In 2022, the total value of humanitarian and charitable activities mobilized by the Red Cross at all levels in the province reached over 42.8 billion VND, assisting nearly 60,300 people. The associations at all levels coordinated to present over 34,200 Tet gifts worth 16.7 billion VND to the poor, victims of Agent Orange...; awarded nearly 700 scholarships worth over 630 million VND to disadvantaged students; presented 20 savings books worth nearly 50 million VND, 7 breeding cows worth 164 million VND, built 35 new houses with a support amount of nearly 4 billion VND for the poor and disadvantaged families. The Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation coordinated to organize 70 blood donation points, collecting 23,997 units of blood, exceeding the target by 60%.

At the 2023 task deployment meeting of the Provincial Red Cross Society on the morning of January 11, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society awarded certificates of merit to the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Red Cross Societies of Hai Duong City, Chi Linh City, Kinh Mon Town, Nam Sach and Thanh Ha districts for their outstanding achievements in the association's work in 2022. The Provincial Red Cross Society awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives with outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation mobilization, and 5 collectives with outstanding achievements in the association's work in 2022.
